Cutting Cost Comparison (€)
HyCut as compared with propane and acetylene: Significantly lower CO2 and NOx emissions.

HyCut consumables service life
As a rough estimate, the service life of a correctly selected hydrogen nozzle may be 2–4 times longer than for acetylene and propane (no reliable data available). Actual service life depends on metal thickness, manual or machine cutting, operating mode, nozzle design, stand-off distance, gas pressure and flow rates, number of starts, and maintenance quality.
Noise level when cutting with hydrogen
When cutting with hydrogen, the noise level is usually lower than with acetylene and propane, especially due to a quieter flame. The actual noise level depends on cutting oxygen pressure, nozzle design, metal thickness, and cutting mode.
